Go from zero to hero with our end to end mapping workshop. Learn the three fundamental steps to visualize real world data on a interactive map. Collecting and visualizing data has proven a helpful tool to build powerful narratives with data-driven activism and explorative research. In this short workshop we will first assemble a gps-enabeld data collector device, set up the software to collect various types of exciting sensors (which we will provide) and take our bikes for a spin through the city to collect some data. Lastly, after we return, we will visualize our data on an interactive map with LeafletJS. You can use this workshop as a template for your own mapping projects. No prior knowledge required, only bring your Laptop and your bike. This workshop is hosted by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
