Jessica Bateman is a British freelance journalist who covers issues including the environment and political extremism around Europe for the BBC, The Guardian, Wired, The Economist 1843 and more. She has reported on groups such as Golden Dawn in Greece and the Querdenken and Identitarians in Germany, and is currently working on a project about far-right narratives surrounding nature and climate change.

She will be running a presentation alongside German journalist Karolin Schwarz on disinformation and far-right messaging around climate change and environmentalism. They will be examining what the main narratives are in this space and which key actors spread them, to give you inspiration for projects you could initiate around this theme.
